Ello Everyone,
It has been a while since I have been up here and I have a lot to write about so get prepared beautifuls!
Let me start off with over two weekends ago when I was in Charleston, SC with my family! I had a blast I stayed at the Fulton Lane Inn, it was a very simple a nice hotel right in the heart of the city. The first day we arrived we went to the Hotel and were told we had to wait a couple of more hours, so we parked our loaded car in the back parking lot and went right to the main market. It’s so beautiful…everytime I go there it is like I am seeing it for the first time. We walked around the vendors and bought a couple of things. One of the things we bought was a wooden frog that had marks on its back so when you rubbed a stick over it, it sounded like a frog….My dad got it so he could play a couple of tricks on the people at his office.
After we were finished with that we went to Hymans Seafood, I just love going there because so many celebritys have eaten there and when you sit at the table you get to see who sat at your seat, my dad was lucky and sat where Michael Phelps sat at….I’m a swimmer so it was kind of a big deal. We ordered and ate are food. Then went to the gift shop where my mom bought a mug. We walked back to the hotel and got the key to our room so about twenty minutes later, everything was in are room. We all took a nap for about two hours, which me taking a nap is very rare.
We then decided we were all hugry and we walked down to my favorite restaurant in Charleston, Poogan’s Porch. We were there for about an hour and I got some seafood pasta. It was delicious. After that delightful meal, we walked along the Battery near the sound. The sun was setting and it was just so beautiful. It was starting to get late, so we decided we would head back to the hotel. We then took are showers and got ready for bed. And while I was on the family laptop, I looked up haunted places in Charleston and guess what happened to be one of the most haunted places…..Freaking Poogan’s Porch! I thought it was hilarious but after reading a bit on the subject it kind of gave me the creeps, how I was there just only hours ago.
The next day we woke up and ate breakfast. Then we headed down to the sound because we were going to Fort Sumtner. We walked up and gave them our tickets and hopped onto a pretty nice boat with about 100 other people. It took us about 45 minutes just to get there but hey the ride was very relaxing. We got off the boat and walked down a nice path to the entrance, you could definately tell this place was old. We walked up to this young looking guy….who wasn’t to bad on the eyes…and he gave us a lecture on the history and battles that went on there. When he was done we all applauded him and went to go explore. It got boring after about twenty minutes but what had my eyes busy was the beautiful views around it. It was breathtaking…… really.
We hopped back onto the boat and after 45 minutes we were back and on are way to Sullivans Island, SC. We went to Poe’s Tavern for linner(Lunch and dinner). I think that place might have the best hamburger I have ever had in my entire life…Just had to put that out there. We then headed back to the hotel and sadly took a nap for a little bit.(We took so many naps because we were exhausted from the heat!) Then we headed out and drove around looking at Rainbow Row and a bunch of mansions in the area…that are just amazing to look at.We did that for about an hour and went back to the Hotel Room where we celebrated my Mommy’s Birthday! It was actually the following day but we decided to celebrate it the night ahead. We gave her some gifts and a beautiful birthday card. She loved it. Then we all got ready for bed.
The next day we woke up, said Happy Birthday to my Mommy and started getting everything together. About an hour later we were on the road and that is how that weekend went! I want to give a huge shoutout and Thank You to my Mommy and Daddy for that wonderful weekend!
Skip to three days to June 27, 2012!
I got up early that day and started packing because I was going to Charlotte, NC. I also had to finish my packing because I had to go coach the swim team for an hour before I left. I finished my packing and left with my sister to go to the pool.
*Skip Two Hours*
My Mommy, sister and I were finally on the road. I was so excited because that night I would be seeing my boys(One Direction)in concert. Four hours later we pulled up to the hotel and the whole ride there I was fangirling….I couldn’t help it. Our mom went inside and found out something was up with our room,so we drove around and I actually got to see the hotel they were staying at and I saw there Tour Bus. Yes, I was screaming my tail off. And when we drove by there tour bus it just happened to be outside there hotel and there was a huge crowd. I later found out on twitter that they were there when we drove by and that made me fangirl even harder! So it wasn’t until like 5o’clock PM, when we got into our room. My sister and I quickly got into the room and got ourselves all dolled up for the concert. You never know, you might get to meet them.(I didn’t.)We then left the hotel and were driven by a special car from the hotel to the main center where everything is located in uptown Charlotte and it was like a block away from the Time Warner Cable Arena, where the boys would be performing that night. We went and got dinner at a nice Mexican Restaurant called “Vida.”I highly recommend it, if your ever in the area, sometime in your life.
Then we walked to the Arena and waited in line for about 30 minutes and were let in. I ran up to the merchandise booth and it was already surrounded by girls. I waited and got everything that I wanted for the concert. Then we got some water from concessions, it was expensive. Four dollars for a cup of water! Then we went to our seats and we climbed and climbed and climbed. Guess who found out they had a fear of heights that night….me! I was shaking like crazy. After waiting for an hour, a girl named Manika came on and she was so cute dressed in a huge tutu from what I could see because my seats were so high. She sang a couple of songs and got the crowd pumped then she left. We waited another half hour and Olly Murs came out. I have to say I am a fan of his music, so I was up singing and dancing, while trying not to think of how high up I was. Then he talked did a couple of sexy moves and a funny meow, then he left. We waited another hour and it was 9o’clock PM, then we started hearing the beat to”What Makes You Beautiful” and I’m not sure who it was but I think it was Niall, before anyone came out he held up a sign over a black curtain to our side of the stadium that said”Kiss me, I’m legal.” We screamed are tails off. Then they came out singing Na Na Na and they continued being there cute selves. Until they reached the twitter questions! Probably one of the greatest moments of my life. All of the questions were hilarious but one of them was to do your best southern accents…..It was so funny, everyone was laughing. Then they had another question asking them if they could do some hip thrusts…….O my….It was a delightful expierence, I mean who gets to be in the same vicinity of the five hottest guys in the world doing hip thrusts…I mean really… after several screams and several hip thrusts. They finished and Liam had to say”Well that was intimate.” Then they had a question on what to name cats, Harry said he would name a female cat Matilda, Louis said Gwen, Niall said Snowball Fifth and Liam just had to say”Niall would name is cat Demi Lovato.” The crowd went wild and of course Niall blushed. They answered a couple of more questions and went on to continue the concert. I left with a huge smile on my face…….that was probably the best night of my life……no it was the best night of my life! I want to give a big shout out and Thank You to my Mommy for taking me because I know she really did not want to be there.
*Skip about Two Weeks*
I went to Washington, DC for the weekend. It was so much fun. I went with my Mommy, Daddy and older sister. We left early on Friday and arrived around 2PM! There was a lot of traffic on 95…a lot!( Now before you read this I just wanted to let you know we have already been to DC and saw all the monuments and most of the museums but we came back to check some things out that we didn’t have the chance to do the first time.) We arrived at our hotel “The Westin”,I highly recommend it! We walked in and were told we had a problem with our room so it would be about an hour before we could get in, so we parked our car in there car garage and went and roamed Georgetown!
If you do not know what Georgetown is it is a cute little neighborhood/district in DC that has cute homes and nice stores to shop in. We stopped in Sephora and I went and looked at the perfume with my sister, while my Mommy looked at different moisturizing creams and my Dad looked at cologne. Now when I walked up to the perfume I had to see if they had Alien, which just happens to be Harry’s favorite perfume ;) I found it and sprayed it….now I have read many reviews from fans and they all said that it smelled like an old person because Harry is always into older woman and all. When I smelled it, it was very sweet….my Dad and sister said it reminded them of Welch’s Grape Juice, I have to say I totally agree. Then I went over to the cologne with my Dad and thought it would be funny if I sprayed some of Harry’s perfume on him,(I tried to find Nialls but I couldn’t). So I did…He actually liked it and was like which one is that and I pointed to Bleu de Chanel and he looked at me with a smirk and said”Is this the perfume that Nevin wears?” I laughed and replied”Yes.” My Dad knows it gets on my nerves when he says the name Nevin. It’s not even one of there names and he also calls them New Direction…Yeah.
So after that we left and went walking around but I had one store on my mind and one store only and that store just happened to be Jack Wills, now I know all of you Directioners know what it is but for any of you who are reading this and have no idea what it is, it is a British clothing brand that is targeted at University students. There are hardly any Jack Wills in the US but there are many in Europe. So being able to shop at one here in the US is a treat. So we found it and about an hour later, I left with a couple of hoodies and a tshirt. Let me say I had the hugest grin on my face while walking out of the store. I just want to say that the employees at Jack Wills are super nice and easy to talk to. We later went to Serendipity and we had dinner and we didn’t plan to do this but for dessert we shared a frozen Hot Chocolate! It was delish! So my Mommy went inside and then we headed back to the hotel. Once we got back to the Hotel,we got are stuff, brought it to the room, got showered, and went to bed.
The next day we woke up and had breakfast. Then we got ready and walked to the metro. We realized we had plenty of time to explore a little, but it was so hot. Like over 100, so we found a Starbucks and got some water and sat in there for a little bit. Then we decided we were all hungry and we all knew where we were going for lunch because I made it known that we were going. We walked a few blocks and arrived at one of the best restaurants ever…….Nandos. Yet again, mostly directioners and people in Europe know about this place but it is a restaurant that is South African and little bit of Portugese/Mozambican and its also casual dining which makes it even better! I was totally fangirling the whole time we were eating there.(Niall just happens to be my favorite member of One Direction and Nandos just happens to be his favorite restaurant!) After we left they all looked at me and were like”We got all your One Direction stuff out of the way, are you happy now.”It was kind of funny.
After that we went and walked through a couple of stores. Then we headed to the metro, we got are little tickets and rode on the subway for like three minutes and got off. I don’t know why but I love riding the subway!
So then we walked for about a half mile and we reached our destination. The International Spy Museum…..I loved every minute I was in there! There were so many cool gadgets and it showed different disguises. I also got to read up on the history of spies and on todays spies. There was also a room of with information about spies that were caught and imprisoned….I thought it was pretty cool. What amazes me is that the city that has the most spies is Washington, DC, itself. So after going through the museum I decided I would never become a spy…It’s to dangerous for me.
After that we left and went to the hotel and packed everything up and went to another hotel. The Bethesda Court Hotel. we put our stuff in our room and turned on the AC then left to go to dinner. When we came back well…Let’s just say I would not recommend going there during the summer but maybe during fall or winter. It’s just the building was old and not up to date and the air conditioning clearly showed it. It was about 90 degrees in our hotel room….yeah I about died. We even got switched to another room and it wasn’t any better. Luckily, we got our money back. The next morning we left and drove home. I want to give my Mommy and Daddy a huge shoutout and Thank You for that awesome weekend.
*Skip Two Days*
Since then nothing has been going on in my life besides work and an online class I’m taking. I’m sorry this was so long and please excuse any grammar mistakes. I hope you are having a very safe and enjoyable summer.
